Shree Digukhya Guthi is organizing a one-day conference dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs across its 26 Kawahs (family groups). This initiative, driven by the Misa Puchah (Women’s Group), aims to transition local ventures from "necessity entrepreneurship" to "opportunity entrepreneurship" by integrating modern innovation with traditional heritage.
Objectives & Core Topics
The conference will provide a platform for skill-building and strategic growth, focusing on the following pillars:
- Digital Transformation: Practical workshops on using AI tools (like ChatGPT/Gemini) for content creation and Digital Marketing strategies to expand market reach.
- Financial Inclusion: Navigating Access to Finance, understanding accounting systems, and managing microcredit opportunities in Nepal.
- Capacity Building: Focused sessions on Mentoring, leadership development, and fostering autonomy for women within both family and Guthi management structures.
- Product Excellence: Strengthening the value chain through Quality Control, innovative Packaging, and Market Research (Demand Study) to ensure local products stand out.

Suman Shakya
Suman Shakya is an entrepreneur, certified trainer, and small business consultant with over 25 years of experience. Since 1995, he has actively participated in over ten entrepreneurial ventures and has contributed as an adjunct faculty member in marketing and strategy.
He is the Founder of Tangent Waves and Co-Founder of Nepal Entrepreneurs’ Hub. Suman has also served as District 41 Director of Toastmasters International (2023-24). His consulting work includes projects with the World Bank, USAID’s Tayar Nepal and The Swiss Embassy, focusing on innovation, entrepreneurship, and private sector engagement.
Katarina Emma Schapiro
Katarina Emma Schapiro is an international leadership and transformation expert, coach and mentor working at the intersection of strategy and human development.
She is the founder of Women’s Voices of Himalayas, a community supporting and connecting Nepali women with international mentors, strengthening pathways to leadership and economic participation.
She is a former CEO and COO, for global luxury brands Dior, YSL, Shiseido. With a background in business and psychology, consulting and education from Oxford (Saïd Business School) and HEC Paris, she brings both commercial acumen and a deep commitment to human-centered leadership.
Dr Allen Bailochan Tuladhar
Allen Bailochan Tuladhar is a serial entrepreneur and technology leader based in Kathmandu, having served as a Microsoft Regional Director and the Country Director of the Microsoft Innovation Center Nepal. With over three decades of expertise in technical architecture and software development, he has been a pivotal force in the digital preservation of local languages and the advancement of ICT for development, earning recognition from the United Nations as a Global Champion in the field. As the Chairperson of the Shree Digukhya Guthi and the leader of numerous innovative ventures—including the "Kathmandu Sightseeing" tourism service and the global financial network Unlimited Remit—Allen integrates cutting-edge technology like AI and automation to foster community growth and financial inclusion. His commitment to building a knowledge revolution in Nepal is further reflected in his leadership of Mission Swaabhimaan and his extensive work in establishing rural connectivity and educational infrastructure for the next generation.
